Boudoir photography is sexy, provocative and alluring. You have the body, the sexy lingerie, your hair is done, and you have the professional makeup to make you a sexy vixen. You’re ready for your close-up, but there is one major problem: the location! You decide to do the session in your humble abode, which is nice, because that is where you are most comfortable.
Yet, never underestimate the power of your surroundings. If you have a beautiful headboard that is just to die for and you have been waiting for a chance to show it off, by all means host the session in your bedroom.
On the other hand, if your room looks like you have 2 toddlers, a dog, a cat and have not done laundry in 2 weeks, I think you should pass on hosting the session in your home.
One of my favorite places to hold sessions is at Kimpton boutique hotels. Every room at these hotels is amazing, and every property has its own theme. My current marathon is being held on June 4 at the Hotel Rouge in Dupont Circle. If you’re interested, email me at olesha@o2weddings for more information.
