Bridal beauty is something every bride gets genuinely concerned about. Will my hair be perfect? Will my makeup last all day? Will I have a pearly white smile? Here are some tips that I’ll be taking to heart before I walk down the aisle.
1. Drink plenty of water.

This one should be a no brainer to us all, but to be honest, I usually don’t drink much liquid throughout the day (partiallydue to the restrooms being a whole building away from my office…but lets not get into that, haha). Drinking water is essential so that we have hydrated skin and actually shed unwanted weight if you drink enough of it. I like buying those very large water bottles and drinking about 3-4 a day. (Don’t spend a ton, just refill it!)
2. Use a long lasting lipstick.

I’m partial to MAC’s pro longwear lustre lipcolour, but any will do. No one wants to constantly keep checking their lipstick throughout their wedding day, and you certainly wouldn’t want to be caught without any lipstick for half of your wedding pictures. My suggestion is to go to your local MAC and ask for the associates to help you try on the lipstick, and then go through your day and see how well it lasts for you. I know I’ll definitely be using it on my big day.
3. Use an acne fighter like Proactiv if you’re prone to breakouts.

I have pretty normal skin, and only occasionally get breakouts. I used Proactiv in the past when my sister’s friend gave my sister a box of her Proactiv, and wow! Immediately after washing my face, my skin felt smooth, and it healed any problem pimples that came along. The face wash is great, the toner is even BETTER, and there is a lotion you put on, as well. I’m definitely going to be using this several months before my big day so I can ensure there are no pimples, and if that’s a concern for you too, maybe you should try this stuff out!
4. Go to the gym!

Let’s admit it, it’s not many that like to go to the gym. I personally used to be a gym rat until I moved here to live with Mathew, and now we only go once in a while. I’m definitely working on going more though! If you have a strapless dress, try working with some light dumbbells and doing lots of tricep and shoulder work. Got a slim-fitting dress? Well then, get some cardio in, do squats and lunges, and you’ll be looking as sexy as ever! If not for your wedding, do it for your overall health! A healthy bride is a happy bride! (Plus, you’ll thank yourself once you see your wedding pictures…I know I will!)
