I recently created some stationery for several clients that I thought would also make a great gift for a bridesmaid. They supplied a set of note cards with envelopes. I hand-lettered the recipient’s name in calligraphy. The girls who received them thought they were so beautiful, they almost didn’t want to use them!
In addition to using a calligrapher, you could also opt to print the name in a selected font onto the note card. You need to have the ability to create a custom size on your computer, and make sure to purchase note cards that aren’t too thick. One of these samples is a Crane product, which I don’t have any experience printing on. But the others came from Paper Source. Their cardstock should be able to run through most printers.
You can finish it off by wrapping the box in a matching ribbon. Paper Source also has small fabric-covered boxes that are a perfect fit for the A2 size cards and envelopes. In the photo above, I used the brown box to complement the chartreuse cards. A striking combo!
Do you have cute ideas for bridesmaid gifts? I’d love to hear about them.
