We sent our first batch of invitations out on Saturday! We bought almost all the stamps (YOWZA!) and went home to get busy peeling and sticking them to our envelopes we addressed previously.
We completed about 60% of them! I was seriously mind-numbed from the process.
To help us identify our RSVP’ers, we did something kind of ingenious. On another blog I read, the author suggested that you make your a numbered list of the people invitations are going to. Each RSVP card gets the respective numbers written on the back of each one so if no one fills out the M________ line, you don’t have to guess or play a game of elimination when they come back!
So inside each envelope is a little invite, the RSVP card & envelope, and an insert with our wedsite address! The bundle is wrapped in trimmed vellum and sealed with a sunflower sticker in the front-center. I am soooo in love with these guys now! The stamps add so much — even if I paid extra to get a butterfly!

You must be sooooo pumped! I can’t wait to start actually assembling my invites, and yet I’m terrified of it at the same time, lol. I know they will be a labor of love!
i had read that idea too about writing the number on the back of your rsvp cards to help figure out who is who. i’m planning to do it too because it’s an awesome idea! i love your picture too with all your invitations. it’s adorable!
