I saw this on the CBS Evening News and was instantly smitten with TOMS Shoes CEO, Blake Mycoskie. I had seen the shoes at Whole Foods, but I have to admit buying shoes where I get my salad fixin’s isn’t really my “thing”. So, I went to the site to read more about the TOMS mission and came across the following:

“Change a life with your next big step. Wear TOMS in your wedding, and helpchildren in need with the first steps you take toward your new life together… Shop our wedding TOMS, and as always, with every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. One for One.”

Pros: They look super practical and comfy — especially for brides who choose to get married outdoors (no heels to sink into sand or grass), and, most importantly your purchase will help children in need.
Cons: Is a canvas shoe too casual for your wedding day?

What do you think? Would you wear them for your wedding?
