Hello Weddzilla World….I am the newest Weddzilla Vendor Blogger, Chanda Eddens owner of A Monique Affair, Wedding and Event Design (and coordination). Why am I qualified to blog about weddings, hmmm, let me see….I have 10 years experience so I know a little somethin’, somethin’ Here’s a little glimpse into my world: (straight from my about page – I wrote it and I love it)….

The first event Chanda ever planned was at the age of 16, not your average birthday party, but rather a full blown production. She has always enjoyed all the aspects of event planning from booking venues, menu creation, vendor selection, creating seating charts, and all the other intricate details that go along with planning and executing the perfect event.

In February 1999, Chanda launched her wedding and event planning business, A Monique Affair. As the executive designer and owner of A Monique Affair, Chanda strives for professionalism, creativity and impeccable organization with all the events A Monique Affair plans. A Monique Affair’s weddings have been featured in; Today’s Bride, Bridesnoir, Girlfriends, and featured on several websites.

As a former Catering Sales Director at A Prestigious Golf Course in Oakland, California, Chanda became experienced at working with the Bay Area’s most prestigious vendors, negotiations and event management. Chanda’s experience as a Conference Center Coordinator at a Community Foundation in the Bay Area helped her build relationships with vendors who focus on creating the ultimate green events. This experience was the driving force behind AMA’s program “Inspire”.

Believing in mastering her craft, Chanda will always attends classes and seminars to learn the newest trends and most innovative ideas. This has lead to another goal, attending San Francisco State University to receive a BA in Hospitality Management. Chanda is also working towards her designation as a Master Bridal Consultant of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC).

Making “A Monique Affair” one of the most sought-after wedding and event design (and coordination) companies in Northern California is the goal! The upcoming year offers amazing opportunities for Chanda and A Monique Affair including; The Bay Bella (Mocha Bride & Bride Nine) Luxe and Love Anniversary Gala, The Urban Wedding Retreat, Diva’s in Design and The Wedding Blogger.
