Hey Y’all!

My name is Hayley Mae, otherwise known as the “Southern Belle.” On August first (only a few weeks left!) I will marry Craig, my very own Iowa farm boy! I am originally from Mississippi, hence the Southern Belle moniker. After college, I moved to Montana (I was in the mood for a good culture shock) to work in the Livestock Industry doing Communications. I met “The Farmer” at a trade show in Montana, when he was out West visiting a friend. We quickly decided we couldn’t be 960 miles apart for long, so I made the move to Iowa eight months later and we were engaged two months after that! I now work as a Graphic Designer, primarily creating a monthly livestock publication, and loving it!

Although I am a country girl of sorts, I’m much more, as the Farmer would say, “High Maintenance!” I love all things pink, green, and polka dotted! My (our) wedding will exhibit this love, to the fullest! I really enjoy getting all dressed up, but am perfectly content in lounge wear and no makeup I am obsessed with jewelry and clothes, an obsession that will have to be reined in once we get married, considering I have already taken over three of the closets in the Farmer’s house!

The wedding has been my chief focus for the past year and I cannot believe it’s almost here! I must have lost track of time amidst the dress fittings, ordering anything and everything of ETSY, invitation assembly, DIY projects, wedding website stalking, bridal magazine hoarding, colored crinoline, died shoes, endless showers, which subsequently turned in to endless thank you’s! It has been a fabulous pink, green, and polka dot whirlwind! I have blogged about it all, now I am super excited to share this final “countdown” with Weddzilla and YOU!
