Not sure what your maid of honor is responsible for? Her is a traditional list of duties the maid of honor is in charge of according to the Wedding gazette:

1. Go shopping- She is to help the bride choose her gown as well as the bridesmaids’ gowns.

2. Lend a hand- There are several tasks that you as the bride needs help with. Your maid of honor is there to help you with addressing invitations, or putting together favors. .

3. Party down- She is in charge of throwing you the bachelorette party.

4. Throw the bridal shower- she is also in charge of hosting the bridal shower.

5. Take notes- She will help you keep track of all the gifts received the various wedding parties. 6. Round up the bridesmaids- You will be too busy getting ready the day of your ceremony, your maid of honor will make sure your bridesmaids get to the ceremony on time, have their clothes on, and their hair done.

7. Hang on to the groom’s ring- She is in charge of keeping the groom’s wedding ring during the ceremony.

8. Prep the bride before she takes that Walk – She will help you with anything you need before you walk down the aisle with things like adjusting your hair, straighten your veil, and rearrange your train.

9. Keep the bouquet- She will hold you bouquet while you are exchanging vows.

10. Sign the license- She will sign the marriage license as witnesses with the best man.

11. Dance- She will dance with the best man during the first official dance.

12. Toast- She will toast at the reception traditionally following the best band.
