Honeymoon Registry...HELP!

Old Dude and I have two houses full of "stuff".

Again, we'll both be 40+ on our wedding date and have both owned our own homes since the 1990s...so we don't need to register for houshold items, in fact, we are participating in a community yard sale this weekend at our Church to pare down items as we prepare to move in together.
Asking our friends and family "upgrade" our blender or get us china and other houshold items hold zero excitement to us. In fact, I didn't even want to register, until my Planner informed me that registeries really do make life simpler for your guests.

Soooo, we were thinking about a Honeymoon Registry.

Having no idea where to begin, I turned to news sources and, of course, the Internet and came across several articles, but still not sure which direction to go.

I'd rather get an opinion from someone who has successfully found one. Are you doing a honeymoon registry? If so, what company? If you are a Mrs. or a Mr. and used one, would you do it again?

I am 40 and my (now) husband is 50. We used HoneymoonWishes.com and loved the service! The site was looked really classy and the customer service was great every time. My friends and family were able to call and ask questions and so many people at our wedding commented that they loved our honeymoon registry idea! We liked that it was so professional and we were able to list everything we wanted, even make our own descriptions to keep it more personal, we weren't just putting up a dollar amount and asking for money. We made it fun, posted photos and a website!

Karen,

Thank you for thinking about using a honeymoon registry.

It is great to see how popular the honeymoon registry is becoming. When Traveler's Joy first started accepting Members over five years ago, we realized there were a large number of engaged couples that were not satisfied with the diversity of the traditional wedding registry market. Since then, the honeymoon registry has become a mainstream option for brides and grooms and the industry has experienced significant growth.

We are proud to have helped tens of thousands of couples honeymoon at destinations they may never have considered - a great feeling for everyone at Traveler's Joy.

I encourage you to contact us with any questions about our service. Most importantly, enjoy your honeymoon!

Best Regards,
